Using this website
The information on this site is general guidance about our services and about NHS eligibility. It is not a substitute for an eye examination or clinical advice about your own eyes.
If you have sudden symptoms such as flashes of light, a shower of new floaters, a curtain or shadow over your vision, sudden vision loss or significant eye pain, do not wait for a routine appointment. Call NHS 111, go to your nearest eye casualty, or call 999 in an emergency.
The content of this website belongs to One Optics Ltd. You are welcome to link to it; please do not copy it or use it in a misleading way.
Appointments and fees
- Sending an enquiry does not create a booking by itself. Your appointment is confirmed when we contact you and agree a date and time.
- If you need to rearrange, tell us as soon as you can by phone or WhatsApp on 07883 823 469 and we will find a new time.
- NHS home eye tests are free of charge for patients who qualify. We confirm eligibility with you before the visit.
- Private home eye tests are from £49. Any charge is agreed with you before the visit, and glasses are always quoted before you commit to buying.
If something goes wrong
Speak to us first. Contact info@oneoptics.co.uk or call 07883 823 469 and we will do our best to put things right quickly.
If you are not satisfied with how we resolve a complaint about your eye care, you can take it further, free of charge:
- The Optical Consumer Complaints Service (OCCS) is the independent mediator for optical care in the UK: opticalcomplaints.co.uk, 0344 800 5071
- Concerns about professional conduct can be raised with the General Optical Council: optical.org
- Complaints about NHS-funded care can also be made through the NHS complaints procedure
None of this affects your statutory rights as a consumer, including your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 to services performed with reasonable care and skill.
Our responsibility to you
Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law. The website itself is provided on an "as is" basis: we keep it accurate and up to date as best we can, but we cannot promise it is always free of errors or interruptions, and we are not responsible for the content of other websites we link to.
General
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction over any dispute. If we update these terms, the new version will appear on this page.
